King Ocean Services

In 1974, Bernuth Lines, Ltd. was formed to serve the transportation needs of exporters to the Caribbean, Central America and the North Coast of South America. Bernuth Lines is a scheduled container liner service, trading in the Eastern Caribbean and North Coast of South America. A pioneer in shipping, Bernuth claimed the honor of being the first liner service to directly call the ports of Isla Margarita, Nevis, Canouan and Mustique from the United States.

During the 1980s, Bernuth embarked on a vertical growth program which included the purchase of its Miami River terminal, container repair facilities, marine engine repair facilities, a trucking company, a tugboat company, an agency/stevedoring company in St. Maarten, Netherlands Antilles, and numerous vessels.

In 2012 King Ocean acquired Bernuth Lines but continues to provide the same high quality services. King Ocean Services is a family of companies that specializes in cargo transportation throughout the Western Hemisphere. They offer an array of maritime-transport services between ports in the state of Florida and more than a dozen of ports throughout Latin and Central America, and the Caribbean.

King Ocean’s Vessels leaves Miami Terminal each week on Thursday and arrive at St. Maarten on Mondays. Anguilla’s containers are transshipped to their smaller vessel which is scheduled to arrive every Tuesday.

Captain Chrissy

The MV Captain Chrissy is an Anguillian owned vessel serving between Anguilla and St. Maarten from Mondays to Fridays from Galisbay in St. Maarten to Sandy Ground Anguilla. Captain Chrissy is flexible in its services and is able to accommodate from a small package to charter services, vehicles, Heavy Equipment as well as containers.
